For decades, I have suspected that something wasn’t quite right at the Social Security Administration (SSA). It wasn’t until the DOGE investigators lifted the veil from the policies and procedures of the SSA that the scope of rampant fraud, corruption and human tragedy began to be exposed and it is about time.

Originally designed to pay benefits to retirees, survivors, and disabled individuals, due to a loop hole in legislation, excess funds collected from payroll taxes can, and have been “borrowed” by the federal government for other purposes, creating obligations to the Social Security Administration that must be honored in the future. The DOGE team’s agenda was to identify abuse and waste to help the system that millions of seniors depend on become more solvent.
In a stunning report from Real Clear Politics, Antonio Gracias, Valor CEO and DOGE volunteer, explained they expected to find fraud associated with long deceased citizens continuing to receive monthly checks; what they stumbled upon exposed even more mind blowing abuses in the SSA system associated with the massive influx of illegal aliens. Under the previous administration, SSA may have facilitated human trafficking as well as voter fraud. Illegal aliens were given social security numbers, registered to vote, and a full slate of benefits, financially incentivizing the invasion of millions of potential democratic voters.
"Let me tell you what happened here. We started at the top of the system, mapping the whole system of Social Security to understand where all the fraud was. There are a lot of great people there that showed us, really, a lot of waste.... When we saw these numbers, we’re like, “What is this?” In 2021, you see 270,000 people; it goes all the way to 2.1 million in 2024. These are noncitizens getting Social Security numbers. This literally blew us away—like, we went there to find fraud, and we found this by accident.."
By the way, the DOGE team DID find what they initially suspected they would encounter, millions of social security numbers belonging to the deceased, continuing to collect social security benefits. You can see the chart below, millions listed as age 120+.
It is about time that real transparency has been brought to the US Government. The next step is to find out where those phantom funds paid to “ghosts”, age 120+ have been going and the prosecution of those individuals. Without meaningful consequences, instances such as these will continue. Let’s hope with the strong team now in place at the DOJ, the obvious waste and election fraud will not be swept under the rug once again.
